RE Teacher Training Bursaries
Financial assistance for those training to teach Religious Education now available for 2014/15

Have you considered training to teach Religious Education? Is anyone you know thinking of training to teach RE?

Teaching RE is a rewarding career choice, relevant to any graduate in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy or Sociology. Although the government no longer provides a bursary for RE, there are other sources of support. For 2014-15, trainees in secondary RE could be eligible to apply to the ACCT Common Fund for PGCE RE trainees. These are grants designed to help with fees and living costs during the teacher training year.

The deadline for grant applications is 16th May 2014

For more information on these grants and to find out how to apply, see: http://www.keswickhalltrust.org.uk/grants/

For more information on becoming a teacher of RE, see:

Please forward this email to anyone who might be thinking of training to Teach RE and final year undergraduate students of Theology, RS, Philosophy and Sociology.

Many thanks
