The end of January is often thought of as a time when will power falters and New Year’s resolutions are forgotten. But not for the RE Council! We are as resolved as ever to carry on working towards safeguarding and strengthening the provisions for RE in England and Wales, and are busy now following up the recommendations of the RE Review, despite distractions; This is reflected in our activities over the past month and plans for the future. Particularly exciting news this month includes the continuation of the APPG on RE inquiry into RE’s contribution to good community relations, and the launch of our Young Ambassadors for RE scheme, which we hope will continue to engage young people as much as it has during the pilot phase.
