Buddhist Action Month is coming soon, promoted by the Network of Buddhist Organisations. We'll be sending more information soon, but here's a six-point summary:
- Buddhist Action Month is June 2014.
- It's an annual month in which Buddhists across the UK are encouraged to focus on socially beneficial activities, locally, nationally or globally, inspired and motivated by Buddhist teachings and values.
- The suggested theme for BAM 2014 is caring for our environment but you can do whatever inspires you.
- BAM is part of Together in Service (TiS), an English multi-faith project initiated by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
- TiS grants are available for local projects involving people of more than one faith community (eg Buddhists and Christians, or Buddhists and Muslims) in England.
- Funding applications can be submitted all through the year and the next deadline is 6th February.
More details soon!
