REC: The RE Council website

January has seen several updates to the RE Council website:

• Forward Together, United: The February Blog from Chair of the RE Council, John Keast OBE.
• Report on how, like beekeeping, religious education is best when it’s controversial: In the 'How I became a teacher' Guardian series, this article describes "how RE teacher Daniel Hugill is as passionate about beekeeping as he is religious studies." 
• Young Ambassadors for RE Scheme now open for applications: The Young Ambassadors for RE scheme is now open to new applicants. To see the kind of activities YAs have been involved in, click here.  To download an application pack with more information, click here.
• RE PD Portal: The RE PD Portal is now live. A one-stop shop for teachers of RE to find Continuing Professional Development opportunities, users can submit their CPD events using the ‘submit CPD’ page. 
• The Educators section has been rearranged, to allow for an Educators News section. The RE Council Projects are now displayed under one section which can be found here.
